Rick is Principal UX Architect at Puppet in Belfast, working on products used globally by 75 of the Fortune 100 companies, including NASA, Sony, Salesforce and Disney.
With a career in design stretching back over two decades, Rick started out in visual communications, exhibition and wayfinding systems, before moving into interactive design for the web in 1998.
Over the last decade Rick has led and managed design teams in Ireland, advocating for user-centred design through consultancy and mentoring with organisations from startups to enterprises across the UK and Ireland.
Rick is a syllabus consultant and lecturer in User Experience for the Digital Marketing Institute, organiser of the UX Belfast meetup, and previously lectured part-time in Creative Entrepreneurship at Ulster University.
In his current role at Puppet, he is a proponent of design thinking to help drive positive product experience across a full gamut of interfaces and touchpoints.
